Summary

I designed these on Fusion 360 so I could replace the orange tip on my airsoft gun. The thread type is M14x1 Left Hand and to print the thread so it fit properly I had to scale the flash hider an extra 5% in the x and y direction. I did not scale the z because that would have messed with the pitch. I also had to print these on a raft for better bed adhesion. Included in the files is a test piece that you can you to make sure your flash hider will screw onto your airsoft gun.

They do look admittedly small but I just need these to replace the orange tip and maybe keep a bit of dirt from entering the barrel. In an attempt to make a one look a bit bigger, I added the second spiral flash hider.

The straight flash hider and first spiral flash hider are the most durable with the long flash hider being very durable except for the small protruding tips at the end. Due to the design of the second spiral flash hider, it is the least durable but I think it personally looks the best. None of the flash hiders require that much filament though so it would be easy to print multiple replacements if you take a tumble and break the flash hider.

I printed mine in ASA, ABS, and PETG with a .2 mm layer height. I would recommend a shorter layer height if you care about strength and ASA if possible because it has the best strength UV resistance if you are playing outside.
