As fitted on Airbus A32X/A330/A340/A350/A380 aircraft.
Airbus Flaps Panel and Lever for simulation purposes. Includes step functionality to allow it to jump into the five settings (0, 1, 2, 3, FULL).
Haven't included any design for position sensing yet. Solutions online appear to use either a variable resistor connected with gears or microswitches to detect which position it is in.
Background
By increasing the camber (greater lift coefficient CL) and surface area of the wing, the flaps increase lift . Hence, the aircraft can lower its speed for landing, requiring shorter runways.
