Some of us here at H5 labs are a bit lazy. Sooooo, we figured out a way to use our quad-copter to deliver small items using a payload hook (reference our thingiverse thing: 1259564) and this nifty little payload basket (of course, the basket could also be used by Little Red Riding Hood for other purposes, but I digress....)
The basket consists of:
1 - basket base (this holds the payload)
1 - handle (you choose the regular one or the long one - the long one is needed if you're going to carry items as tall as soda cans)
4 - pins (with the clips, this attaches the handle to the basket base)
4 - clips (with the pins, this attaches the handle to the basket base)
To Print:
The pins and clips are recommended to be printed at 0.2mm layer height with 100% infill for strength. No supports or rafts are needed for the pins and clips if printed as oriented in the models (the pins have geometric design features to aid in 3D printing without supports).
The basket base and handle are recommended to be printed at 0.3mm layer height with 60% infill. Supports should not be needed for the basket if it is printed in the orientation shown in the 3D model. For the handle, supports should only be needed under the rounded handle section. it is recommended to print the basket base and handle as oriented in the models.
To assemble:
NOTE: Four pins/clips are used to insure that the handle is held firmly in position for aerial pick-up. If you would rather the handle be movable, just use two pins/clips instead of four.
