I liked the look of the Shockwave Pistol Brace but wanted it to be adjustable. So I combined the design of the Shockwave and DDA3 pistol brace into this design. This is designed for a mil-spec carbine buffer tube. The LOP is 13 1/8 inches so it meets the requirements to be qualified as a pistol brace.
The adjustment mechanism requires a spring with maximum diameter of 10mm. The holes for assembly require a 1/8 inch pin. These can be cut from brass rods available at both Home Depot and Lowe's. I used some 1/8 inch aluminum tubing that I had leftover from a previous project.
The print pictured was made using Paramound 3D Military Khaki ASA with a 0.2 mm layer height. The resulting print was then given two hot vapor baths to smooth away the layer lines.
