The file 'Adjustable Height Funnel – 2×4 Mounted 3D Printer Model' is (sldprt, stl) file type, size is 21.8MB.
Edit 2018-03-25: Added V2 of the upper slide. This extends the funnel out further from the 2x4 in order to accommodate larger bottles.
Also, please note that lumber varies in dimensions. The models on here are designed for boards that are 1.5" x 3.5". Some 2x4's are 1 3/8" x 3 3/8". I have uploaded the solid models of this part so that you can adjust based on the lumber that you actually have. In the case the the board is sloppy in the base, I have included holes to screw the base to the board.
Other design changes I would like to make: Improve rigidity of base. Works pretty well but could be improved with some additional ribs.
This is an adjustable funnel that I made for transferring used oil into bottles when servicing my vehicle. A 2x4 is used as the vertical support (not shown). The upper slide/funnel assembly is held onto the 2x4 using 2-3/8" bolts that thread into captured nuts on the side of the slide. This allows for various size oil bottles to be filled.
The upper two parts (slide and funnel) are split to allow for printing on most printers. The parts may be glued together easily.
More to come.
