Summary

This is a small 30x30mm multi-testing calibration object. Print it to test your printer's mechanics and configuration.

This object is designed for 0.4mm nozzles but will work on others too. Let me know if you'd like a specific variant in the comments. The cube is hollow with a 1mm roof and bottom.

Things to look out for:

  • Ringing/ghosting (check the walls near dots and X/Y character)
  • Bridging (check bridges on left side, they are 4, 8 and 12mm)
  • Top layer finish (check top of cube)
  • Bed leveling & Z distance (check underside)
  • Cornering issues (if you corners are fat or you can clearly see the points where the bridges connect on the front side of the thin tower, try linear advance / pressure advance setting)
  • Smoothness of arcs (e.g. test corexy/delta calculation speed)
  • 45 degree overhang (triangle on back side)
  • Infills (bottom 5mm of cylinder, check top surface area, sides)
  • Single wall quality (top 7mm of cylinder, important for printing R.C. airplanes)
  • Dimensional accuracy: Object is 30x30mm, cube is 20x20mm, cylinder is 20mm diameter
  • Elephant foot: Check if bottom few layers are fatter/wider of object
  • Z-wobble: Check for vertical pattern in thickness along Z axis
  • Retraction, acceleration: check spiky tower for stringing problems
  • Overextrusion: Cylinder and cube should have an (infinitely small) air gap between them.
  • Small details/towers: Check the spiky tower appearance.
  • Overhangs: Check roundness and roof of 5mm hole in back

Enjoy and good luck! It's helpful for others if you can post a make of this calibration object to compare.
