Summary

The chain transfer plate is designed to snap into where the original extruder motor was on the Ender 3. It also has bolt holes of you would like to secure it properly, and the center is open for any other use you may need.
There are two versions. The 'no offset, has the cable from the unit to the adapter pointing straight back, and other has a 5 degree offset, more closely pointing to where the cable assembly normaly pins to the base.
The adapter plate at the direct drive head was printed with 10 walls, no top or bottom, and a 15% grid infill, in PETG. It is designed to snap onto the 2 upper wheels on the MicroSwiss NG, and is very secure. It does not touch the moving parts of the wheels at all, and allows for full X axis movement. About 15mm of Z axis are lost with this setup, however.
