We use two AC50-500V 0-100A current sensors to watch the current from our generator when utility power is not available. This helps us to determine how many items in the house can be turned on without overload the generator and helps to determine which are the most energy intensive items to help conserve fuel. The original panel was made using a punch set on a metal blank plate, but we thought some people may rather 3D print a cover rather than trying to punch a metal blank.

You could also use this setup to monitor the main breakers or branch circuits.
