Misc Notes
I saw a bunch of AAP01 prints that charge some sort of fee. I wanted to make something like this available for anyone who doesn't want to pay anything :)
This builds off of a the M5X Compact handguard. I bought a 200mm barrel over the standard 129 mm barrel for this build.
Idea from Ralfzu on 2024-07-02 in the M5X Handguard comment section.
This integrates well with my Top Rail V2 for AAP-01
I suggest using some extra hardware:
2x M3x12 screws (min. 2, but not required)
1xM4x8 screw (min.1, for the forward nub, not required)
This will need to be printed with supports. I suggest printing with the aap-01 attachment point on the bed (barrel up). Triple wall (minimum), 30% infill.
The nub is optional, but recommended
Will likely make a picatinny replacement for the nub in the future
