The file 'AA / AAA Battery Holder 3D Printer Model' is (STL) file type, size is 193.0KB.
Bought few packets of AA / AAA rechargeable batteries and I thought it would be a good idea to store them in a smart, convenient way without losing them. So I came up with these designs, created in SolidWorks.
Battery slots were sized based on my own measurements using digital caliper. The one-size-fits-all design accommodates the dimension deviations from various brands of batteries (both rechargeable and non-rechargeable), and it well aligns with standard battery size range according to Wikipedia info. The battery insertion ends have slightly smaller diameters to prevent the batteries from falling out, but are still large enough so the batteries can be inserted / removed by fingers easily.
Two configurations are available for both AA and AAA battery versions: 6 x 2 Planar / 6 x 2 Double Deck
TPU filaments will be highly recommended, as they give the holder extra flexibility for battery insertion / removal. I have not tried printing them with PLAs or other materials yet, but please feel free to test them out and let me know if they fit.
