Counter space is at a premium in our kitchen, so having open boxes of filters around was not an option. We used to stack the filters on any non-wet surface that was not in use.
To solve this problem, we created a stand to hold the two types of coffee filters we use most often: square Chemex and Moccamaster No. 4 filters.
This will probably work for other sizes of square and conical filters.
