909D+ Soldering Iron Holder Adapter to be used with this soldering iron stand
My first attempt to model the holder was not going to work in practice because in the normal use of a holder of this type the hot surfaces will make contact with the holder, melting the plastic and dirtying up your tool.
The concept behind this holder is you use the mould and press to create a clay insert which fits into the holder adapter. I'm just using a basic air dry clay - which isn't high heat the way a fired clay would be but it doesn't melt, it burns and has low heat conductance. After the clay hardens, paint it with high temp paint (like Rust-oleum). Unpainted version showed
