MK2 version of my cell tray, changes made:
1) The corners of the cells now have a greater radius, this makes it slightly easier to remove the plug while also making the cells stronger.
2) The overall height has been reduced very slightly so is now a nice round 60mm.
3) The notches between cells have been made wider.
Note 1: For storage the new MK2 version will still stack with the original version no problem.
Note 2: I have decided not to continue with the Air pruning version for several reasons, among them i found the modules aren't as robust as i would like them to be for FDM printing, i didn't see much of a difference between in plant growth between the Air pruning and standard modules and i found they dried out much faster than the standard modules.
Overall these changes should make the module trays even more robust, while requiring a phew grams less plastic to print (around 5 grams for the standard 6 cell tray)
Edit 17/7/21: I have added a shadow versions of both the trays that i intend to use for starting seeds like lettuce before pricking them out into individual modules.
This 6 cell module tray for starting your seeds, designed to be strong and sturdy so that i can be reused many times, with a large hole in the base to aid drainage and the easy removal of plug (plant) once the plant is ready for transplant. They also nestle together nicely for storage when not in use.
