The file '5th Generation Replicator Build Plate Locks 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 10.7KB.
Having a Build Plate that doesn't move (other than down) during printing is an important factor in getting the best possible print quality from your 5th Generation Replicator (...no different to any 3D printer)... and can also overcome other issues including prints failing.
If you own a 5th Generation Replicator check your slide in / slide out Build Plate to see how much movement there is forward / backward within the 'home' position. Even new Replicators can have a couple of mm movement. Even if you can't see it this can potentially allow the build plate to vibrate / move during printing.
The Build Plate Locks are designed to lock the 5th Generation Replicator Build Plate firmly in it's home position and eliminate the forward / backward movement. They are a quick and easy print, easy to install and remove... and a simple safeguard that can improve the print quality and overall performance of 5th Generation Replicators.
There is no visible movement with the 5th Generation Replicator Build Plate however, as any small vibration /movement can compromise print quality these Build Plate Locks are a safeguard against vibration / movement. With them installed there should be no forward / backward movement of the Build Plate... it should be locked home.
