Summary

***Edit 8-18-24 Might want to see the updated designs I uploaded. Overall simpler, stronger, and prints a bit faster. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6735422

*EDIT 8-18-24 Strongly suggest using a hi-temp filament. I found PLA+ getting soft on a couple other prints I have on my dash. I reprinted in ASA which survived perfectly last week on vacation in 85-90f outside temp with the sun beating through the windshield.

Made this up to mount a Banks iDash Supergauge in my '23 GMC Canyon with a Bulletpoint Rubigrid mount behind the infotainment screen.

It will fit a standard 52mm gauge with 40mm or less mounting depth.

*Added 05-26-24 an updated "V2" with an additional 5mm height of the gauge cup. The PLA + I printed with shrank more than I had expected on the original file which broght the cup down to the top of the infotainment display. V2 adds an additional 5mm clearance.

I used Cura's "Fuzzy Skin" setting which turned out fairly close to same texture as the Canyon's dashboard. (settings I used in pic) Printed with 15% Cubic infill and turned out plenty strong enough. **Edit 6/23/24 15% infill is strong enough...until it's 90F out and sitting in the sun where mine started to droop. (PLA+) I am going to print one @ 40% infill to see if that helps, and possibly work on a different design that comes straight up, and angled towards driver.
