The file '4TH Gen Possibly 5th Gen Ram Tow Mirror Disassembly Tool 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 133.1KB.
Designed for 4th Gen Ram (Possibly compatible with 3rd and Possibly 5th Gen Rams)
More detailed video will be coming soon.
These files are provided to assist with the disassembly of power fold mirrors, particularly addressing the well-known issue of plastic gears used by Chrysler/Mopar. While this tool is intended to make the process safer and easier, it is important to note the following restrictions:
Non-Commercial Use Only:
These files are provided for personal use only. Under this license, you cannot resell. You may print and use the tool, or share the printed tool with others, but you are prohibited from selling the file, the printed product, or any variations thereof.
No Derivatives:
Modifying this design, creating derivative works, or using any part of this design to develop your own products for sale is expressly forbidden. The design is to be used as-is to ensure the integrity and intent of the original tool.
Purpose and Intent:
Instead of capitalizing on this tool by selling it, I’ve chosen to share it freely to help others repair their trucks. This tool addresses the failure-prone nylon gear in the power fold mirrors, which is known to break over time or due to impact. While disassembly is possible without this tool, it can be risky and challenging—this tool makes the process significantly safer.
Permissible Actions:
You CAN: Print, use, and share the printed tool freely.
You CANNOT: Modify, sell, or create derivative works from this design, whether 3D printed, machined, or otherwise.
Let's keep this simple and continue fostering a community built on sharing knowledge and supporting one another.
There will be 2 design options available to suit different fabrication methods and material preferences:
CNC Machining: A version specifically designed for CNC machining, allowing you to create the tool from aluminum or other high-quality materials for enhanced durability.
Reinforced 3D Printable: An additional 3D printable version with extra reinforcement, offering increased structural integrity for more demanding applications.
Lastly, there's an installer tool included. You have the option to use a standard 13/16" socket with a 3/8" drive, or you can use this custom driver, which performs the same function. The driver can be either 3D printed or CNC machined. Reinforcement isn’t necessary for this tool, as it has been tested successfully through six uses without any issues.
