The file '4040 Extrusion Profile Rail System 3D Printer Model' is (stl,FCStd) file type, size is 1.9MB.
I got hold of some custom 4040 t-nut extrusion profiles from a friend and i wondered if i could use them for a big 3d printer.
This is work in progress and the last trial-and-error cycles showed me this could be a long way ;-) , but maybe anyone out there is interested...
At least some parts are functional so far (look here: https://youtu.be/zGeVcP-XO7I ) and the CAD model is nice to look at in FreeCAD ;-)
Oh, and i used the great Thing https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16187 , the GT2 Pulley.
Sorry, no (usable) STL's to find here so far. But FreeCAD is free anyway!
Maybe you want to give it a try and export the STL's you want from there? ;-)
Update 8. Feb. 2018: Updated the threaded rod driven carriage for Z-Axis use. The parts fit together nicely and everything works so far. See it in Acton: https://youtu.be/lYXBW0VyxKo and https://youtu.be/sh_3ky9Mvo4
The printed rolls are critical. They have to be super smooth - i think i will try to sand them a little bit to eliminate all the bumps.
