Background
When building out my dust collection system I was frustrated by both the cost of the fittings and how sharp the elbows were. I decided to create these to reduce the cost dramatically and increase the radius of the elbows.

Design
This set of dust collection fittings was built around the Powertec Blast Gate. The 100mm male ends fit inside the blast gate.

There are 4 types of connectors used throughout:

• 100mm male - will fit inside the Powertec blast gate or the 100mm female
• 100mm female - slightly conical to accept the 100mm male regular connector
• Powertec female - accepts the Powertec blast gate into it.

The the male and female connectors on each is slightly conical allowing a good fit no matter how you print it.

Included:

• Elbows, Large radius for smooth airflow. You can combine the two type to create nearly any bend you could require:
  • 45 degree elbow
  • 22.5 degree elbow
• Male 100mm to Female Powertec fitting to attach to a blast gate
• Y with 100mm on both of the straight ends and a Powertec Female fitting on the Y.
• Y with 100mm on one of the straight ends, a Powertec Female fitting on the other straight end, and a 100mm male on the Y
• STLs of just the 100mm connectors so you can add them to your own designs
• STEP file with all of the above, get crazy with it in your favorite 3D design program

Printing
The male fittings have a thin brim built into the design so that you don't have to use an outside brim and have to clean up the outside edge on the male fittings if you print that side down.

The Y's are designed to print without supports, however if your bed plate adhesion isn't great you may want to use a thin support along the bottom of the angled tube to make sure it doesn't fall over towards the end of the print.
