Here is the 1/15th scale 25-C Tender to go with the 4-8-8-4 "Big Boy" Locomotive I did for Makerbot in 2014 !!
When combined with locomotive....it's over 9 feet long!!!
This model took about 300 hours to draw and about 700 hours to print. It is comprised of 315 parts (including the track).
The parts were 99.9% printed on a Makerbot Rep2. The remaining part ( Truck Frame) was originally designed and printed as one piece on an Objet 500 Photo-polymer printer.
Materials used (PLA):
Makerbot True Black..... 12 lbs ( 6 kg)
Hatchbox Wood............... 1 lbs (.5 kg)
Makerbot Clear................>0.1lb (.05kg)
