Screw head has changed been updated: ver.4.8.3

Fixes:

• NO SUPPORT needed
• will not hit the side of some 6200 mask
• Spikes are less sharp
• Print time between 1hr - 1hr 20min

Screw base has been updated to solve issues we had with other models other than 6100 series.

The keyless turning grip is also improved, and wavy pattern is remove and replaced by some spike.

Bad news is that, we will need to print this with support, very minor support, about 0.5mm support only.

Old screw head will still work. but I have added wavy design to help user to release the screw without the key.

Please be aware, some designs out there will damage your 3M lock. especially ones that can put on in all angles.

I am sorry that I had to add my name on it. I keep seeing people downloading this and selling them on the market.

1. Do not buy it from these people. Most of the cost goes into the design process, the cost of printing is only less than $10HKD each, I saw some people are selling for $180, $240 on the market. It's ridiculous !

3. I just wish to help as many people as I can, which is why we are not using this to make any profit. We also have a team behind me buying filament with their own money and printing them every day and giving them out for free. If you want to help them, help HK, donate money to help them ! Any Tips you pay via Thingiverse will be distributed to them to purchase more filament to help more people.

Updated the latest version of SCREW BASE.
3M 6200 V8 screw 45mm short v11.sti

This will replace all previous screw head and should fit to all printers, will solve all screw not fitting into thread issues.

Update:
Sovle issue with 3M locks, now it is more difficult to find the position to lock in, but it will limit the damage to your 3M mask lock.

UPDATE Screw base:

Some had issued screwing the 2 parts together, this is usually due to the limitation of certain 3D printing, usually a proper calibration could fix this. Having said that, I have made 2 version of the screw head.

1. 42mm and 2. 45mm

The standard one is 45mm. But if you have issues screwing the 45mm in, please use the 42mm version.

PLEASE USE PLA ONLY.
PETG MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR CONNECTOR and IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SCREW THE PARTS TOGETHER.

THIS IS A version that fits a variety of filter sizes. From 36mm-41mm.

NO SUPPORT NEEDED.

And print without support.

用0.15mm layer 就可以. 每一set大概需時 8 小時

用0.20mm layer 就可以. 每一set大概需時 6小時

每一個防水外科口罩可以剪裁大概12個filter, 經過測試後每一個filter可以用超過一天

旋轉式設計, 飛沫難以沾上這個filter

If you have a Prusa M3S, just use original Prusa slicer, choose 0.15mm Speed Settings. Should complete 1 full set (a pair) within 8 hours.

Suggest to print in PLA, it will work with PETG, screw will be harder to turn.
PLA would give you the best result and PETG is not necessary in its intended use.

A normal mask could be cut in to at least 12 circle pieces. It will work with 2 layers of mask in each filter, but best to keep it single layer for a good flow of air into the Mask.

Note: you might want to use a knife to trim the top of the Screw head to make it easier to screw into the cap, but it is not necessary. Please print out the attached key wrench to help with tightening screw mechanism. For the 1st time, please use the key and turn it a few times to smoothen out the irregularity form differnt printer result. Please do not over tighten.

You will only need support on the bottom between the Shields.

Print it upside down, check photos.
