The file '3dverkstan-like Protective Visor With Parametric Forehead Clearance 3D Printer Model' is (stl, scad) file type, size is 17.6MB.

Summary

Protective visor with increased clearance (as requested by some workers)
Design of course inspired by 3DVerkstan (https://www.youmagine.com/designs/protective-visor-by-3dverkstan)
Only version "Europe-888" implemented, feel free to add more.
Differences / Improvements:

  • redesigned from scratch with OpenSCAD
  • clearance between forehead and visor is a parameter (clearance)
  • the possibility to stack is embedded in the design (i.e. don't trust slicer to make proper support), with "support" generated as needed (you might still want to tweak those areas in your slicer to increase speed and reduce flow for easier removal (they are supports after all))
  • the modular design is also embedded through only_left_arm, only_right_arm and only_brow option in the protective_visor module

This fits on a 200x200 build plate, and 3 full visors can even fit on a 370mm diameter AnyCubic Predator

Adjust clearance and roof_radius to your convenience
"roof" is the part of the brow that sits against the forehead
"clearance" is the front-to-back distance of the brow (i.e. minimal distance between forehead and screen)
"approximate_height" is meant to be between 5 and 6 (only tested with 5)
"layer_height" is here to adjust the actual height to a round number of 3D-printing layer
"thickness" is the thickness of all parts
"support_layer_count" is the number of support layer between stacked visor (3 is a good value if you have only one hotend).
The "zig-zag" pattern is meant to force the slicer into doing a continuous print of the support layer instead of jumping all around the place, constantly going from one arm to the other (issue seen with Slic3r).
As for the modular version, 4 brows fit on a 200x200 plate (protective_visor_4_brows.stl), and up-to 8 left and 8 right arms can fit on a 200x200 plate (protective_visor_8_left_8_right_arms.stl) or you can print 2 complete sets at once (protective_visor_2_modulars.stl). protective_visor_8_left_arms.stl and protective_visor_8_right_arms.stl allow you to print ony left or only right arms with a little more clearance on the plate (other STL might have the squirt outside of the plate depending on your 3D-printing parameters).
