After rounding off a few driveshaft connectors I tried something new by using two M2 instead of one M3 screw which may prevent loosening of the cardan and wearing out the hex.
I've used 4x M2x20
The cardans are also modified with enforcement scews to prevent splitting. This and the dual mounting screws should provide a pretty solid connection.
Any feedback is appreciated!
