This lesson is intended to be a basic Introduction to understanding 3D Printing combined with an introduction to the computer skills needed for the student to become less dependent on the teacher for the transitional procedural steps.
It is intended to give the elementary school student a general orientation to the field of 3D printing with a light touch on the specifics of each of the areas involved in moving from idea to physical object. The concentration is on the whole idea behind the 3D printing process itself without going into the “nuts and bolts” of each step.
The actual design modification is done in the simplest way to provide for the most frustration free activity and quicker gratification with the object produced.
