Summary

Electric Guitar - Hex Design - Full Size Playable

LP Style Body but with fender style pickups and 25 1/2" scale

Main body printed in 13 main parts + other smaller supporting parts

Original design was to have the vol+tone knobs and switch in infills of some of the hex's just under the bridge (as shown in the design image) but realised after printing that this wasn't going to work so adapted the design post print which involved cutting out a section and creating a plate (switchToneVolPlate.stl) to cover the electrics (walls for this in the internalSupportBlocks.stl) as shown in the final product image.

Mostly printed with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.32 layer height and 30% infill. Although Fills_BridgeBlockOnly.stl element was printed with something like 60% infill and a 10 layers on the top to give extra strength for bridge screws and tension from the strings - although to also address string tension I used a through body string bridge with ferrules at the back of the body - so possibly a belt and braces approach. These where drilled post print.
