The file '3D Printed Guitar Body – Stratocaster Type – Voronoi 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 2.2MB.
Thankyou all for your comments and feedback. Its awesome to see the 'makes' already and they look great!
1) Lowered the pickup cut-out by 8mm to provide more room for pickup cables,
2) Lowered the neck seat by 3mm.
Shout out to dethdeks for the feedback and suggested changes. You can find them here: https://www.thingiverse.com/dethdeks/makes
My custom guitar project turned out great, so I thought I’d share the STLs with everyone.
The guitar body is modified from an existing Fender Stratocaster model I had in Fusion 360. Using the Voronoi Add-on, I cut through the guitar body to produce a unique aesthetic that I really liked. I remixed a scratchplate model (link below) using the same technique.
The body is split into 6 parts to make it printable on most conventional sized 3D printers. I also included dowels (2 different sizes) to held support the body once assembled.
Printing at 0.3mm layer height (which saved a lot of time but lost some quality on the surface layers) with a 50% infill gives the body a very “3D Printed” aesthetic which I really like. It also balances and weighs very similar to my old Fender Stratocaster Bullet (which I used as a doner guitar for the remaining components).
The other components I printed are:
