The file '3D Paste Extruder Deltabot 3D Printer Model' is (stl, dxf) file type, size is 1.5MB.
This printer was designed as part of an architecture design studio at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute led by Francis Bitonti and Xuedi Chen. As a team of four we studied a Rostock Mini Pro deltabot kit, and from there designed our own larger printer with a paste extruder. In addition to scaling the original design of the deltabot, our extruder is powered by an air compressor which pushes material through a vessel situated above the printer down to the extruder nozzle. This end barb can be interchanged to different sizes and geometries. Also, the print bed has the ability to be removed and replaced.
