Filament spool stand for 308-type roller bearings (like those found in fidget spinners or inline skates; very common on Amazon and eBay).
This symmetric design consists of two printed parts only: one half of the roller, and one half of the stand. The parts are tightly dimensioned for press fitting without glue and firmly hold together in 4 points; printing in PETG (which is more flexible than PLA) and assembling with the help of a small vice will make putting together the parts easier. Otherwise, use a hammer… but carefully :)
Due to its sturdy design, the stands should be able to withstand high loads. I routinely use these stands with 2kg spools as shown in one picture. Of course, this design works with standard 1kg spools or lesser weights too.
UPDATE (23-Jul-2018): I uploaded a modified version of the stand with minor changes. I have enlarged the holes for the pegs by 0.2mm for a slightly less tight fit to make it easier to assemble for some makers. Also, I've introduced another peg/hole in the center of the base to add support there as well and to prevent holders printed in PETG from flexing outwards slightly under heavy load.
