Hi guys,
First of all there is a video about this project and you can watch it from here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQj4Sp7Rxt8
In this project I made a very very strong gearbox. Actually this project is for some fun because it's hard to believe, but if the input shaft rotates at 500 rpm, the last gear will start to rotate after 105 years!
pinion gear 12 teeth and counter gear 61 teeth. so the reduction ratio in each stage is i=5 and there are 15 stage in the system. so total reduction ratio is 5^15= 30,517,578,125:1
Meanwhile you can get the reduction ratio you want in this gearbox. You can use less gear by moving the rod that connects the right and left parts. You don't have to do 15 steps like I did.
