3 Squares Geometric Model. A straw craft project with 3D printed connectors.

This model is a 3D Brunnian link, none of the squares intersect each other. This is similar to the Borromean Rings.

The diameters are 10mm and can be scale to any diameter. Eg – if a diameter of 11.6mm is required, just scale the part to 116%.

The large straws in this model have a nominal diameter of 12mm. For this pack of straws which I obtain the internal diameter vary between 11.3 to 11.8 mm for different colors.

The length of the straw for the side is 92mm and can be adjusted for a tighter or looser fit. Hence the ratio of the inner diameter to length is 11.5 : 92 or about 1 : 8

Straws come in many sizes and variations of the diameter. We will need some trial and error to get a good fit.
