The cylinder slides free if the all the pins are aligned correctly, so I would recommend to add some kind of restrainer to prevent the cylinder from sliding out.
I would recommend placing the bed a bit closer (paper thickness + slight friction) to the nozzle so both sides of the lock look nice.
The lock works best/smoothest when both the cylinder and the cylinder holder are exactly aligned. You can do this by pushing them flat on a flat surface.
