3D Printed Three Piece Rubber Band Powered Airplane! Print this airplane in three pieces all flat on the printer bed. The wing and elevator have small ramps that allow you to force them into the slots and keeps them very secure. You may have to use a bent needle nose pliers to force them into the slot. You can use a hobby knife to remove any edge that makes this seem impossible, but a tight connection is important - especially for the elevator. To create the hinge for the elevators and rudder, bend them once just after printing. While still warm lay a ruler across the end of the body along the rudder crease and bend the rudder against the ruler once. Then put it back to straight. Do this for both halves of the elevator as well. Make sure the elevator halves are the same angle.
You may have to adjust the elevator and rudders to trim the flight path. Bend both halves of the elevator up to make the plane climb and down to make the plane dive. Same with the rudder - move the rudder left to correct a right hand roll and right to correct a left hand roll. The surfaces are very effective, so small changes are best.
