We had a pellet stove ordered but shipped damaged. We refused delivery. We opted to wait until the next season to purchase another one but already had the chimney/flue hole in the wall. I created this to fit a 3" pelletvent thimble and it fit so well no adhesive was needed. You simple just have to work it into place and it stayed through winter, spring and summer before buying a new stove in the fall.
So whether you already have a hole covered with cardboard or something else, or if you are planning on removing a pellet stove and not sure what to do with the hole, maybe this will help someone.
