The file '28mm Miniature Height Checker 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 58.53 KB.
After printing off some minis I noticed that my dwarves were too tall, so I made this handy tool. Drop it on the build plate next to your model and it will tell you how tall it is in 28mm scale.
BE SURE TO ADJUST FOR BASE HEIGHT!
In 28mm scale, 1 inch = 5 feet (1:60 ratio), therefore the numbers come out as;
1 foot = 5.08 mm
2 feet = 10.16 mm (Longsword)
3 feet = 15.24 mm (Gnome)
4 feet = 20.32 mm (Halfling)
5 feet = 25.40 mm (Dwarf)
6 feet = 30.48 mm (Human, Elf)
7 feet = 35.56 mm (Orc)
Heights can vary depending on what lore you follow (D&D, LOTR, etc) but the above examples are generally acceptable.
Hopefully this helps someone else out! If you're using a different scale, you can scale the height chart as follows:
10mm 36%
12mm 43%
15mm 54%
20mm 71%
25mm 89%
28mm 100%
30mm 107%
32mm 114%
35mm 125%
40mm 143%
54mm 193%
The miniature pictured is a slightly modified hobgoblin from dutchmogul's Pocket Tactics line, I highly recommend checking his stuff out if you haven't yet.
