I also struggled with the clearances on this box similar to https://www.thingiverse.com/wllwiser9. I didn't like how tight it fit without bullets and definitely did not like how hard it was to open/close with bullets in it.
I participate in an NRA Precision Pistol league where a match is 30 bullets, so this was modified to also only hold 30. Print 5 sets and you can use 3 (50 rnd) boxes exactly.
The idea here is that for each match if I start with a full box and end with an empty box I know for a fact that I had all the bullets used in the match that I needed and don't have boxes of random amounts of bullets hanging around. I know that's a little niche, but you can easily modify this one to hold more, maybe I'll make a 50 rnd and 100 rnd version later.
