A filament roll holder with an adjustable mounting bracket, mountable on the top 2020 bar of your printer.
Included is a center rod which will lock in place; I put a handful of bearings on it for friction-free spinning (the other end of the rod is left open for that), but they're not required.
The default STL is designed around a filament roll with a 60mm diameter hole and a total diameter of 200mm; all of the rolls I've used are well below that.
Customize-able: you can change the mounting piece offset to align the roll nicely with your extruder. For full control, download the .scad; it's fairly well commented.
Update 2017-03-02
Added a handle to the rod, making it much easier to lift & remove it while using your other hand is pre-occupied with the filament roll.
Dab a bit of hotglue on the rod to keep the bearings in for even more Quality of Life.
