The file '2020 LED Lighting Mount – HyperCube CoreXY 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 102.1KB.
I decided to add LED lighting to my completed HyperCube but I wanted it to be neat and non-intrusive. The LED Strip aluminum extrusion I chose included the diffuser, end caps, and mounting brackets. The end caps could have been used but the brackets would not work with the 2020 extrusion of the printer. I decided to combine end caps with mounting brackets. I created a set of brackets which hold the aluminum extrusion inside the top frame without interference with the XY movement. My installation lights 3 sides. These brackets work with any 2020 extrusion and can be used with any size printer just by cutting the aluminum extrusion to the correct length for your printer.
Be sure to print the brackets with supports as there are overhangs. You will need 2 dual brackets and one RH and one LH bracket. Apply the LED strip to the extrusions and connect the strips by soldering wires between the strips. I suggest that you hot glue each connection to keep the wires from pulling on the strips. I daisy chained my lights at the front two corners and then ran the wires down the right rear corner. I also added a dimmer to my setup.
There are many brands of LED Strip and Aluminum Extrusion available but here are the items I used:
