The file '2000 – 2010 Ford Focus Rear Shock Shim 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 38.6KB.
This is a recreation of an idea from long ago on the Focus Fanatics and Focaljet forums. These have not been made for a very long time. Basically this is a shim that fits between the top compression washer and rubber insulator of the rear shock mount in the back of the trunk. This removes the air cushion that creates a softer and quieter ride, at the expense of slight suspension lag in travel.
You will likely not see a noticeable improvement unless you are tracking your car; however these do firm up the rear slightly if you're in tune with how your vehicle handles. Many people reported increased noise and harshness and usually took the spacers back out, but you may like the difference. Your mileage will vary. :)
Print as fast or slow as you like, any layer height, any material except TPU; just use 100% infill as this will be squished between the top of the shock mount and body of the car.
