This is a plastic end cap designed to seal up 2.5"x2.5" square tubing that is 14 gauge (.083") wall thickness. It can be used for any 14 gauge 2.5" square tubing projects. The Carry-On brand of utility trailers use this size box tubing, which is what I designed it for.
Painting the PLA before installation is recommended for UV protection. Caps are friction fit on 14 gauge tubing, however a small application of an elastomeric adhesive like RTV silicone is recommended to keep the cap in place.
