A friend gave me a 1957 Oldsmobile 88 "barn car". I have been fixing it up and finally have it on the road. I wanted to have a radio, but haven't been able to get the 40lb AM tube radio working yet. I found a company that makes new configurable radios (http://www.retrosound.com/), but they didn't have a faceplate or knobs that matched my car. I designed an adapter that slides on the front of the radio that is close to what the original radio looked like. I scanned the knobs and faceplate and created CAD models.
My challenge now is to find an inexpensive way to chrome them. For now I used Chrome spray paint, but it isn't that shiny
