This is a test fixture to hold the recoil spring so that the spring compression can be measured.

Used all-thread 10-24 for the spring holding bolt with two nuts and locktite for the bottom end and the two nuts brazed together with a steel welding rod for the hanger. The top two nuts brazed together with the hanger unscrews so that the recoil spring can be put on the all-thread and put into the holding fixture.
Once the spring is loaded, the spring can be tested by attaching the holder and spring to a hanging scale and the tension can be read directly.
