This is a basic 18650 battery holder for shelf or table storage. I was inspired by the design of Dronnn: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2099310
However, I wanted a customizable design with OpenSCAD for tweaking the dimensions, snugness, and the number of batteries. The included stl is for 16 batteries, but this works in Customizer. The quantity in each direction can be adjusted with numx and numy.
If fine-tuning of the holes is required, these holes happen to be quite nicely sized for a standard utility knife to scrape them clean.
I realized it also works very well as a battery cap if the dimensions are set to 1, the clearance is small, and the hole is cleaned up carefully to get just the right snug fit. The 18650_battery_cap.stl file should work well for this. Flexible filament might be even nicer for purposes of a battery cap, but I didn't try it.
