Summary

This is meant to hold a 1/72 scale model airplane on the wall, using Command Strips (those rubbery things that supposedly don't leave a mark on the wall, and usually attatch to Command Hooks.

It was specifically designed for a 1/72 Airfix Spitfire, but may work for other 1/72 scale airplanes as well. With the nose (the propeller end)facing up, the trailing edge of the wings fit in the to little notches, and the fuselage rest on the bottom elevated arm. This should hold the model fairly well, while still allowing it to be removed to admire.

The notch at the top is for the tab on the Command Strip, so you can easily grab it if you need to remove it, but should be fairly well obscured by the nose of the model plane.

I just printed it laying flat on the bed with the arms up. I printed on a Prusa with Soulutech PETG in white. But obviously you could use any printer/material combination.

Laying it flat did give the rounded edges on top a bit of a stepped pattern. I was ok with this because I wanted to reduce support material, but to make that smoother you might want to orient it so that it is on end, or at an angle. It's up to you.
