After looking through all the designs of hex bit holders, I didn't find one that suited my needs perfectly so I modeled my own. It is a 4 x 15 grid giving you 60 spots for your 1/4" hex driver bits. The two tiers in front fit the shorter bits while the back two rows fit the taller bits. I have uploaded two versions of the model: one that fits each bit snugly and one that fits a little more loosely. If you prefer to be able to pull each bit out with one hand then try the loose fit and if you want them to be secure enough that they won't fall out when you turn the part over, try the snug fit. This is my first upload so I'm welcome to feedback. Thanks!
Also, please post pictures of your prints!
EDIT 12/1/2016
I re-uploaded the two parts after adding a chamfer I left out originally on the front left edge of the parts. The original posted parts' function was not affected by this. This change is purely cosmetic.
I also included the .ipt and .igs along with the .stl so you can tweak it in Autodesk Inventor or most other CAD software. Let me know if there are any changes you would like to see!
As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated, and please post any makes if you print your own. Cheers!
EDIT 12/10/2016
I just added a version of the loose fitting and snug fitting models that has the back two rows reduced down to the same internal height as the first two rows. Each row is still set up in tiers so it has the "stadium seating" design. This reduces the amount of material and time needed for the print and should function the same way.
