Use cura to merge your moon and 35 mm diameter globe cylinder to create the moon gcode
For simplicity, i have merge the moon and 35 mm diameter globe cylinder stl as a single gcode (moon gcode). For anyone who want to make a simple moon lamp, you need the following:
Download high resolution image from https://www.solarsystemscope.com/textures/ (see “Planet” folder)
Get family photo and cut out images with GIMP in transparency mode
-- “free select tool”, trace out image, Invert, cut image, save as png file
GIMP
-- Import 2k or 8k moon as layer
-- Import png photo as layer and resize (right click image & select “layer”, not “image”)
-- Select “Cage transformation” tool and modify layer in hour-glass shape
