I was finally able to acquire some Pegboard for the garage, so I could hang up and organize all the tools I've accumulated over the years.
Thingiverse has been very helpful with the numerous Pegboard Hooks and accessories that are available for download and printing.
I was unable to find a suitable download that fit all of the Socket Wrench sizes that I have, and need to organize for my wall ... thus the onus for this posting.
After several versions of "holders" for each size of socket, I soon realized that I had so many different brands of sockets, no two brands had their square mounts exactly the same size. So when I found a design that fit brand "A", it wouldn't fit brand "B" ... being either too loose or too tight.
So I decided to try and use the rounded spring steel shape of the Socket Strips you might find at the hardware store for storing your sockets. My design requires that you print the different size clips with 3-perimiters, NO BOTTOM, NO TOP, and 0% INFILL. (See the sliced picture.) This give you a 1.2mm perimeter if you are using a .4mm nozzle.
I provided a 6" rail (though you can modify it to be longer) as this was a convenient size for my purposes. The rail can be printed normally. Though in order to save time and material, I print them WITHOUT a solid bottom and a 25% infill. I do use a solid top.
So far these 3-sizes have fit every socket I own, regardless of manufacturer.
