Summary

This is a kit for building frames or open frame chassis cases for pretty much anything you want out of 12mm stainless or aluminium tubes or rods.

My primary purpose for this project was to build a mini-ITX open frame case for a home server/NAS (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3047526), but you can adapt the parts to build anything you want.

Each piece has lug holes so that you can cut and screw covers on the side of the frame once it's finished. The lug dimensions were designed to also fit PC components such as mini-ITX motherboard or an ATX PSU.

Because these connectors are structural, I really recommend using PETG. PLA might do though. Also, set to 100% infill (there shouldn't be much anyway) and layer height to 0.1mm to get a denser build.

To build a frame, it's just a matter of cutting the tubes to the length that you need. The depth of each connector is 15mm. You can then use M2.5x6 mm self-tapping screws to permanently hold everything together.
