I thought it would be best to let the user decide if the wanted to use plastic cement to glue the roof in place, or add square rods in the cab of the main body, to make it easy to lift the roof up when needed (in that case in-between I would recommend rubber cement as precaution)
Might I suggest two rectangular pieced of plexiglass on the inside of cupola if you plan on running outside.
