The file '120mm Fan Intake Duct – Velocity Stack 3D Printer Model' is (STL) file type, size is 3.0MB.
Velocity stack fan duct for 120mm PC fans. I used these for a little ice-water to air cooler I built for a fun project, using an amazon 240mm radiator. The fan blades left a lot of space between the tip and the housing which was decreasing the static pressure they could put out, so the main portion of this project was to print a thin ring to fill the gap. After I did that, I thought airflow would be better with a curved lip on the edge, and I ended up with this velocity stack design. It actually does pull a surprising amount of air over the edge of the duct. I also plan to print a grate/guard that will snap into the holes on the top, and might even make a version with a nose cone to direct airflow around the fan motor.
