The challenge was to build a small and portable, yet fully fledged desktop gaming PC. I went with an mini-ITX board, and the smallest case I could find - A Lian Li Dan Case A4-SFX.
This setup came with another challenge: heat dissipation. I could only fit a tiny Noctua NH-L9a cooler, which comes with a 92 mm fan. My aim was to squeeze a 120 mm fan in there, so a custom adapter needed to be made.
I quickly made a simple 2-part design which also cools the parts around the CPU. Both parts need to be aligned and welded toghether. Although bolted directly to the cooler, PLA works nicely here, even if the CPU reaches 85°C.
I will redo my design in the next version. There will be only one part to print, and it will look a little more closed in order to improve airflow.
