Summary

I have a lot of sessions in forests and wasn't happy with the trees available. After seeing the Dwarven Forge kickstarter I really liked their trees so set to making my own version.

This is my initial test, a 10mm trunk. There are 4 sections, a trunk, a plain stem, a branch stem and a top section. They're held together with pegs, which are separate as it makes things easier to print. There are 2 canopies, which I've split in half to print as it was the easiest way. A bit of Super Glue will fix it. One canopy is for the Stem section (the one with the hole in it, and the other is for the top. There are small notches on the inside, which will line up with the major branches on the stems. I've made them separate objects because being able to remove the canopies will allow me winter trees and also to show the battle map if the players move under them.

There is a cavity in the stump for a magnet. I use the Prusa Colour Print https://www.prusaprinters.org/color-print/ to put a stop in allowing me to add the magnet. This will help the stability. If there is enough interest i can make a wider more decorative base. (I probably will anyway)

I'm planning on working on different branch structures and also plain stumps etc, so they're not all the same, and also then a 15 and a 25mm size.

I've printed the trunk and branches at 0.1mm layer height on a 0.25mm nozzle and the branches at 0.15mm on a 0.4mm nozzle.

Edit: I uploaded the wrong stump file. It's been updated
